This is the original concept picture for a "Hilary Duff" rug, it's been shrunk to show pixelation so I can choose colours and thread count for the rug.
...and here's the finished "Hilary Duff" rug on my wall.
Here we have the finished "White Horse" rug.
I think it turned out well, using this original image to design the rug.
Here's the "Skipper" rug made of two images of the family dog, Skipper.
My friend, Tom, hard at work on the "Skipper" rug, while I worked on my next project.
My current rug project, "SV Et Al" has been stored over the summer, but is now out and ready for work to continue.
Below are a few planned rugs for future projects. They haven't been made yet...
This image of Lindsay Lohan was picked out by her sister Ali. It's still on the "to do..." list.
These following images are also planned rugs.
Here we have, Amanda Bynes.
Sarah Michelle Gellar
Homer Simpson
...a beautiful black lab.
Here's the "Charmed" rug with some lifesize standups of Alyssa and Rose (holding the original image)
And... a younger me, showing off the "Charmed" rug at a store in the local mall.
The following images have fascinated me, and I've put them on the hot list for possible future rug projects.
This colourful image is a painting of Amsterdam, Holland. I think it would make a beautiful rug.
Michelle Trachtenberg has so many interesting images available, she may inspire another rug like this image, perhaps. I think it would make an interesting study in form and shadow which lends itself well to rugs.
Miley Cyrus also has an interesting face, and I think the image on the (right/or below) would make a very nice rug portrait. I have to map out the colours and see what pops up.
I picked this image for two reasons, her eyes, and the rose in her hair. I think the texture/colours in her hair will also make an interesting rug if I can manage to interpret the colours correctly.
Always a fan of Amanda Bynes, her bright eyes and brilliant smile would make for an interesting rug project. Lovin' that smile!
Emily Osment. The colours in this image might be a bit of a challenge to work with. I might have to hunt further for an appropriate image to make a good looking portrait rug.
Yes, Miley again... but with a horse. I've done the horse and girl combination before with Alyssa Milano and her horse. I think it worked out rather well. She liked it, anyway.
This is totally a shot in the dark, but think Selena Gomez will also make for an interesting portrait rug. Final image choice hasn't been made yet... any suggestions?
